I want the Doctor to take a kid as his companion.
A 14-15 year old kid who’s parents are fighting, has few friends, bad grades, and feels like complete shit before the Doctor comes.
No kissing, complicated relationships, confusion or stuff like that, just the Doctor taking a kid who doesn’t see much out of life for a ride.
before u say that romeo and juliet is a play about dumb teenagers let me explain u a thing
except really: i’ve had a few people asking me why i even bother with this play that is SEEEEMINGLY about nothing or some rubbish i don’t understand. it’s one of my favourite shakespeare pieces and i always get an eyeroll when i say that, to which i have to promptly eyeroll in return because there’s a decent chance the person rolling their eyes is a little more out of it than i am. not always…….okay so far i’m at 100% track record but im sure it’ll happen one day.
anyway, this only MARGINALLY begins to breach what’s going on in romeo and juliet. it’s one of shakespeare’s shorter dramas but fUCK DOES HE CRAM A LOT IN THERE FOR IT. everytime i read it i find something new and usually heartbreaking. this play makes me fucking bawl (ok not literally i don’t cry at movies and books and things) and i don’t think it’s for reasons people are usually grasping. SO HERE ARE MY FEELS though only really for the main young cast as, again, i couldn’t possibly get into everything here. also carefully avoided friar lawrence or else it would have kicked off everything else. maybe one day there will be sequel with more stuff but for now here is the bare bones framework.

3) AH THE PICTURE IN THE THIRD TO LAST SLIDE IS THAT A BLACK ROMEO AND A WHITE JULIET!? OMFG WHY DON’T MORE PEOPLE CAST THAT WAY THAT IS SUCH A PERFECT WAY OF VERY EASILY GETTING AT THE SOCIAL JUSTICE POINT OF, ‘WOW LONGSTANDING FEUDS BASED ON NONSENSICAL PREJUDICE WILL FUCK UP YOUR SOCIETY.’
